NILAI NILAI FIQIH DALAM PERFEKTIF BUDAYA LOKAL (ADAT KATOBA)
Keywords:
Perfective Fiqh of Katoba CultureAbstract
The traditional katoba ceremony has long been alive among the Muna people. A
number of studies state that this tradition was created by Sufis who came to spread
Islam in Muna. This is a form of local genius from the Muna people, which was
created with the aim of conveying Islamic teachings to children from an early age,
based on the creativity of the local community. In the view of the Muna people, the
traditional katoba ceremony is a process of converting a child to Islam. This means
that children who have been born naturally must be guided so that they can discover
their human nature. That is the essence of the traditional katoba ceremony, teaching
children about the values of life based on the teachings of the Islamic religion. These
values include: respecting both parents, younger siblings respecting older siblings
and vice versa, and finally teaching children a number of other people's rights
(hakunasi). If examined closely, all these life values include the values of Islamic
religious education. All of these values are contained in the language of katoba
advice
